Neptune is a Black Lab, who was abandoned and starving. We had been trying for months to rescue him and finally his lucky day came. He was friendly, but didn't trust humans and was very frightened. His first stop was the Vets office where we got the sad news. Neptune had heartworms, an infection, had his back leg had been injured and not healed properly and numerous other parasites. First we got rid of the parasites and the infection and tackled the heartworms. He is now heartworm free and is doing therapy for his leg. Neptune has found a wonderful family to adopt him and is very happy with them.
