comfort. As I was contemplating whether to have her put to sleep or not, she wrapped one brave little paw around my finger with
all the strength she had as if to say,"please help me.". I knew then that she was a fighter and wanted desperately to live, so it was now our job to make sure she did. She stayed at the vet overnight and the next day
came home with us. She had severe urine burns on ears and face which caused painful blisters and a major infection. Her mother had died and when she was given to a surrogate mother, she was rejected by her. With no one
cleaning or feeding her she quickly ended up the condition we found her in. Her next trip to the vet two days later was very traumatic. She needed a shot of antibiotics, but she was so starved that there wasn't any
flesh to inject it into. She was literally skin and bones. Her ears had to be soaked with warm compresses twice daily and then covered in salve. Even though her fur was rotting off as well as her ears, her dynamic
personality still shone through. After about six weeks we realized that parts of her ears would have to be amputated in order to heal properly.After the surgery her ears healed wonderfully. So now with a fresh new
coat of fur and two tiny little ears she is ready to become some special persons loving pet. She has no longterm health problems due |
